Bolt connections & coefficient of friction – for laboratory staff

The task of bolts is to connect two or more components in a force-fit manner. However, in order to guarantee a secure screw connection, knowledge about preload force and tightening torque as well as about friction coefficients is elementary. With the deliberately small group size, there is always time for your individual questions.

What can you expect?

The aim of this seminar is to impart basic knowledge about bolted joints and the determination of friction coefficients - especially for people who work or will soon be working in the test laboratory.

  • Basics of bolts, geometry, strength classes
  • Physical quantity "friction" for bolts/nuts
  • Determination of friction coefficients according to DIN EN ISO 16047
  • Further customer specifications
  • Practical measurements, programs
