Drainage membrane DELTA®-X DRAIN

Economical three-layer protective and drainage membrane for installation depths up to 7 m.

DELTA®-X DRAIN can be used on pressure-sensitive surfaces, for example polymer-modified bitumen thick coatings (PMBC, formerly known as KMB).

Advantages

  • Optimized economy for vertical applications
DELTA®-EQ DRAIN offers an optimal nub structure for high water loads and a compressive strength that enables installation depths up to 7 m. This makes it perfect for almost all vertical applications.
  • High compressive strength
The membrane has a high compressive strength of 250 kN/m² and so it can protect pressure-sensitive waterproofing from damage.
  • Even load distribution
Thanks to the sliding film the contact area between the DELTA®-X DRAIN and the surface is 100%. So, the seal is optimally protected from punctiform loads from the filling material.
  • Protection against unavoidable subsidence
Occurring subsidence in the backfilled construction pit can lead to movements of the protective and drainage membrane but do not have a major effect on the waterproofing because the sliding film is loosely connected to the sealing membrane.
  • No silting up of the knob structure
Thanks to its special structure and its characteristic opening width of 150 μm, the laminated geotextile is extremely filter-stable and prevents the dimpled sheet from silting up.
  • Smooth overlapping
The one-sided, approx. 10 cm wide, smooth edge, in connection with the protruding filter-stable geotextile, makes it very easy to professionally overlap the drainage membranes.
  • Conformity to standards and guidelines
DELTA®-X DRAIN is CE-marked on base of DIN EN 13252 and meeting the requirements of DIN 4095 and DIN 18533 and the “Guideline for the planning and execution of polymer-modified bituminous thick coatings (PMBC)”.

Application

Due to its compressive strength, the membrane can be used at an installation depth of up to 7m and with its high drainage capacity even with high water loads.

Also the usage as methane gas and radon drainage is possible.

The processing can be done either parallel or perpendicular to the top of the terrain. Always make sure that the printed geotextile points to the ground or backfill material.

The overlapping of two sheets on the long sides must be carried out by means of the one-sided smooth edge. In case of transverse joints, the lower sheet must be laid at least 20 cm under the upper sheet.
