Physical Properties

Each surface coating has material-specific physical properties. These include coloring, gloss level, mechanical resistance and dry-film coat thickness.

Depending on the area of application and component or material, a surface coating needs to display one or more of these physical characteristics. Standardized or manufacturer-specific test procedures of various kinds enable these properties to be examined and assessed in practice.
