19.08.2019 Meeting of Experts at Dörken Days USA

August 2019 witnessed this year’s Dörken Days USA – this time in the fabulous ambience of the Manistee National Golf & Resort in Manistee on Lake Michigan.
With the motto “Fun – Networking – Business”, the US Dörken MKS team had organized a varied, 2-day program for the +40 representatives of Licensees and plant manufacturers participating.

The business section of the conference focused on the latest developments in the US market. The representatives of US Dörken MKS presented news on the latest coating technologies of the corrosion experts. Guest speaker Glenn Stevens of MICHauto (Automotive and Mobility Initiatives, Detroit Regional Chamber) spoke about the car industry in Michigan and cast an eye to the future of transport and mobility. In addition, representatives of the plant manufacturers SIDASA Engineering SL, Forplan AG, WMV Apparatebau GmbH & Co. KG and Perceptive Industries, Inc. gave short presentations on the latest technology and products from their companies. Kent Anderson, President Dörken MKS USA: “We were able to exchange a lot of interesting information from coating practice as well as receiving valuable first-hand news from the automotive sector. The participants were very satisfied.”

There was also time for fun and networking at the Dörken Days USA. On the charter fishing trip on Lake Michigan participants could put their angling skills to the test – with a prize for the largest catch. In addition, there was also an exciting golf competition on the 18-hole Manistee National Golf Course. Finally, on both days the participants could enjoy an evening meal together with culinary specialties and ample time to swap experiences and network.

Conclusion: Once again, the Dörken Days USA were a complete success this year!
