Cooling (after curing)

The curing of a coating is followed by cooling of the parts to room temperature (30° C or less). The cooling process usually occurs in the furnace - with cold air typically blown onto the parts. Important to note: during cooling the dew point – at least 3 K above the dew point temperature – may not be exceeded, as the parts will otherwise attract moisture and the coating will not be able to cure properly.
